The Brief.

Bargain Chemist already knew the power of email marketing through Klaviyo (our email marketing tool of choice!) but needed help implementing practical email marketing ideas and strategies. 

Many of their products are tailored to different client personas, from someone seeking weight management products to parents purchasing newborn items, but what if a client sits in both of these categories as well? 

This led to strategies in creating and utilising the power of personalisation to send emails segmented to the right audience with key messages that would increase engagement and the client's lifetime value.

The high abandonment cart rate is a significant issue with all brands; almost 70% of online shoppers abandon their carts, with 73%  on desktop, and 85% on mobile devices.

Similar statistics were prominent with Bargain Chemist.

Our Approach.

We looked at activating a more consistent time frame on a series of reminder abandonment cart emails to ensure clients would remember their pending orders. 

A series of sales and marketing techniques are utilised in the email titles description and in the body of the email. 

Specific Calls to action are also prominent, creating urgency and scarcity to assist the end user in proceeding through the buyer cycle faster. 

A prominent strategy was for any abandonment carts that surpassed a higher Average order total; a specific flow would commence, providing an incentive to finalise their order.

A/B testing was also conducted as discount promotions don't have to be the key factor to sell more. 

Our learnings from the data gathered helped the team to make changes in optimising the automated flows in our ongoing strategies.
