They produce quality car seat covers and have a mission to help hard working Kiwis live their best life – at work and at play. Rugged Valley products are 100% made and manufactured in New Zealand. With a premium product but Australian competitors gaining market share, they approached Zyber with the goal; to create a Shopify site with more flexibility to grow, and create a positive customer experience.
Our team of digital strategists designed, developed and seamlessly re-platformed Rugged Valley’s website to Shopify. Through this process, our strategists recognised areas for opportunity across Rugged Valley’s online strategy, resulting in a powerful site that enhances customer experience and has increased revenue by 378%.
During the migration to Shopify, Zyber’s experts created a customised landing page based on segmented customer data so each viewer could experience their brand story. We completed a full front-end overhaul of the product selector so customers can segment their online browsing based on their personal vehicle specifications.
For Rugged Valley, UX on mobile and tablet was as important as a desktop experience, so we worked together to make mobile browsing easier, and provide a smoother customer experience from browsing to cart. As a business who attends face to face events and uses tablets to showcase their products, we also optimised the UX for a tablet view so customers could browse, purchase and receive their products easily on the spot.
Re-platforming to Shopify was just the beginning and Rugged Valley are now VIP clients as part of our Support & Success model. They started out with 15 hours per month and this has subsequently increased to 25 hours so they continue to grow their current and future strategy. Our team partnered with Rugged Valley to optimise their SEO through new imagery and product tagging for Google Shopping.
We also integrated Klaviyo in their Shopify store. This enabled Rugged Valley to utilise their database, segment their customers and create customised messages aligning to each persona. To enhance the UX of the Klaviyo flows, our designers created new images for the EDMs which aligned with the website and provided synergy across the multi-channel touch points.
